How to resize many photos at once

  1. Tap Choose photos and pick up to 50: JPG, PNG, WEBP or HEIC.
  2. Pick the Pixel size and type the width and height, or the percentage.
  3. If you need to, type a Maximum KB for each photo and pick the format.
  4. Tap Resize and download the photos one by one or in one ZIP.

The four ways to size

Pixel sizeA 4000 × 3000 photo, with 1280 × 1280 or 25%
Fit inside a width and height1280 × 960: the whole photo, same shape
A percentage of each photo (25%)1000 × 750
Exactly this size, cropped to fill1280 × 1280: the middle square, the sides cut off
Exactly this size, whole photo with white edges1280 × 1280: the whole photo, white bands above and below

Fit and percentage never make a photo bigger. The exact sizes do when a photo is smaller than the size asked for, which cannot add detail.

Common sizes

For exam and job forms

Forms usually ask for one photo at an exact size and KB range, such as 200 × 230 pixels and 20 to 50 KB. For that, use Resize photo: you place the crop on the face, and it can fill in the numbers for your exam.

Worked example

30 holiday photos of 4032 × 3024 pixels, with Fit inside 1600 × 1600 and a maximum of 300 KB: 30 JPGs of up to 1600 × 1200 pixels, each under 300 KB, in one ZIP named resized-photos.zip.

Questions people ask

How many photos can I resize at once?
Up to 50 at a time. For more, download the ZIP and do the next 50.
Will resizing make my photos blurry?
Making photos smaller keeps them sharp. Fit and percentage never enlarge a photo; an exact size bigger than a photo stretches it, which cannot add detail.
Can I resize to an exact size without cutting anything off?
Yes: choose Exactly this size, whole photo with white edges. The photo is fitted inside and white bands fill the rest.
Can I also reduce the size in KB?
Yes. Type a Maximum KB for each photo; each one gets the best quality under it.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. They are resized by your own browser, so they never leave your phone or computer.
