How to compress a PDF for a form
- Choose the PDF.
- Type the form's limit in Maximum KB.
- For printed documents tick Black and white.
- Make the file, open it to check each page, and download.
How it works
The pages are drawn as pictures at a resolution and JPEG quality that fit the limit, starting at 150 DPI. Text cannot be selected afterwards, but reads the same. If the PDF is already small enough, you are told so.

A 2-page Aadhaar print scanned at 6.4 MB, compressed to 200 KB in black and white, comes out at about 150 to 190 KB at roughly 150 DPI, sharp enough to read every digit.
